Cold & Rainy Friday Evening

Cold & Rainy Friday Evening
~Click the picture to get warm

It has been so incredibly nasty today, I finally broke down and brought in some kindling & pieces of fire wood and started a fire in my wood stove.   It's just barely topped 50 degrees today and with the rain & wind...a person feels chilled to the bone. Notice the fan set off to the left in the video.  I sit that on the stove & turn it on when it get too warm in here like it did a few weeks ago. I've turned the thermostat on the furnace up to 62 degrees and it's been coming on..off & on today.

There was 10 inches of new snow up at  Paradise Park on Mt Rainier today and most of the passes over the Cascades have new snow falling.  Also I saw there was snow falling today at Timberline Lodge down at Mt Hood in Oregon.

So if it's cold where you are, enjoy my fire ~ for the rest of you who are sweltering...sorry !   Linda

I love a fireplace.. only problem is that I live where I don't need one. We're over here burning up with 90+ temps and 100+ heat index. We jumped from 70 to 90something over night. Glad to hear that someone is still enjoying snow.
Take care, Chrissie

Loved that AOL video, almost broke out in a sweat lol!  It's humid and miserable in Jersey, air's full of pollen and who-knows-what, but it's life eh?  I remember friends from the 70s from Snoqualmie Pass and Snohomish, one from I think it was called Lake Sam.  What a breathtaking state you have in WA.  xoxo CATHY

Love the vid, it's cold here in Yakima too, and windy. A fire is just what we need to warm up.

Congratulations on winning the Weekly Sentence With Val today!  They always bring in stiff competition, so to win I know is pretty hard.  Congrats!

It seems like Washington is the only place in the country that it isn't warm.  Sorry Linda.  It's in the 90's here.

love that fire place of yours...we have had some big thunder storms lately, a really cool on the night I was in the hospital.  But it is not cold here, not at all!

Granted your fire looks very cozy...but since I am one of those poor souls sweltering I think I would have rather seen this in December, LOL.  Hopefully you guys will warm up a little and have some nice sunny days.
