Happy Father's Day ~ Sunday

I just want to take this opportunity to say "Happy Father's Day" to all the dads, adoptive dads, step dads, foster dads and to the dads who have had to be both mother and dad to their kids.  Also to all the grand dads who have had, for one reason or another to raise their grandkids after raising a family of their own.

And for those of you who have not or did not have a good relationship with your dad.....I'm sorry, I can't imagine that pain.  But remember....you have a Heavenly Father who loves you, who knows everything about you, will never leave you or forsake you and is always there for you.  All you have to do is reach out to Him.

Have a wonderful day, and give dad all the hugs and kisses he deserves.

Until  next time........Linda

I really miss my dad.  The black & white picture is of him holding me on July 4, 1942..a couple days later he went to Seattle to enlist in the U.S. Army.  He passed away on Sept 14, 1990.

I miss my dad too - he passed away in 2001 and I still feel lost without him.  It wasn't so much that I lost my best friend, I feel like I lost my right arm.  I am still learning to live without him.  It's been quite a process, to say the least.

As for keeping up with Jae, I don't think anyone can!  She is too too much sometimes, I just sit back and laaaaaugh!!  Actually, I outsize her by about six inches and her legs are quite short so even with my gimp I really can keep up!!  ha ha ha You know I love you, Jae!  xoxo MeMeadow

Lovely entry and picture Linda.  He was a handsome fella wasn't he!  I miss mine too.  Nothing like a Father/Daughter relationship that is nourished and healthy.

Aw what a sweet picture of you and your dad.  It's funn you should mention our heavenly father...when we sat down to Michael's fathers day dinner he led us in prayer and I was thinking how it was actually father's day for God too.  ;)

Hi Linda,

Yes, Father's are so important in the lives of their children and unfortunately so many do not have a visible involvement.
This is my first Father's day without Dad and I just PTL for placing me in this man's care....and love and protection.

Blessings,

Ljj

Nikki called Rusty today and that really made his day. Then I made him go mow the lawn! LOL Rusty said that he had a great fathers day.

I lost my Dad in 1988.  Sometimes it feels like only yesterday.  As long as they live on in our hearts, they'll never really be gone!  Lisa
