Home Sweet Mobile Home

I had a couple emails about my neighborhood & the mobile home park where I live.  This is my house as it looks now in the summer.  I am blessed to have a giant cedar tree in the front yard (southern exposure) to shade the front yard during the afternoon in the summer.  The two windows in the front are in my living room.  My computer sits back in the corner just past the far window...I can watch TV while on line and see what's going on outside.  The window back on the left is over my kitchen sink and the little one past that is in the master bathroom and the big one past that, towards the back of the house is my bedroom window.  I have a two car carport and the covered porch...which is a nice place to sit on a summer evening (unless it's too hot out there~that faces the west). Last night we ate dinner out there but there was a cool breeze blowing thru there from the north.  Unlike some older mobile homes, mine has a wood exterior. It's not a "tin tepee" as my dad used to call the one my folks lived in years ago.  It's a "double wide" and measures 24 feet wide by 48 feet long.  The mobile on each side of me are 60 feet long & that makes a huge difference in space...I so wish I had that extra 12 feet in a multi-purpose room.

It is very pretty, you do a great job keep the plants and yard looking nice.  Do you ever have to paint it?

I have a house.  A rancher, and you have more room than me.Hubby said it is 40x25.  When You think of it that way, it sure doesn't sound like much.  Geez,  my whole life has been spent on a 40x25 spot.  Your house looks so nice.  i LOVE IT!                                      Marlene

I lived in a mobile home park when I lived in Florida.  Very nice place you have there Linda.  BTW, congrats for winning Robin's little contest...lol.

I love how neat and clean and cool it looks, Linda. Be careful what you wish for. I have 3300 sq.ft. counting porches and it is a pain ..... to keep up with. Both porches are carpeted with outdoor carpets and it's like taking care of 3 living rooms. Just the inside regular area is 28x64. I could get by with half of that. I like how you can be on pc and see all the other things going on there:)..........alice

congrats on guessing Robin's cigar thingy; I never would have guessed it!!

looks like a cute place you live in; I was just talking with my husband the other day about moving into one when we get ready to buy something here. I have seen some nice ones with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and not a cramped feeling.

looks like a wonderful place to call "home"

Very pretty Linda - but the 'mobile' home doesn't look altogether too mobile to me...

Your home looks very inviting. Everything looks so nice and neat! I love the color too. I know that tree keeps things a little bit cooler inside. :) Kelly

Joe and I are thinking about putting a mobile on our property, our old home that we are in now needs to be totally torn down. It was built in the 1920's all of wood and I think if the termites stopped holding hands the whole place would fall down..lol. The damage is too extensive to repair, we had this place inspected but little did we know that the termite company was also very corrupt. Your place looks nice and cool too.  Life constantly changes....lol...Sandi
