Ok, Call Me Crazy

I just posted this on Face book but decided to post it here too. I have always had this fascination about how tall people are. I've wondered that about all the presidents, movie stars, etc. I just found out that Regis is 5'7" and Kelly is only 5'3".

I know Barack Obama must be tall because I've read that Michelle is at least 6 foot tall. And since I've never met most of you who read my Blog....I'm wondering the same about you.....so leave me a comment and let me know how tall you are. Ok ?

Oh and me...when I was younger I was nearly 5'8" but with old age and a spinal fusion I've shrunk down to slightly less than 5'6".

Hope you are all having a good weekend. We have had record breaking low temperatures the last week. On top of that, because of stagnant air, a burn ban was put into place. So I haven't been able to use my wood stove. I'm afraid to see my electric bill the end of December. But the ban was lifted this morning and there's a fire burning as I type this post. The weather man has predicted some snow for the lowlands around here. My friend from Olympia called a little while ago and said the ground is white there (Olympia is about 20 miles south of me). And there's a little sprinkling of the white stuff here.

It's been two weeks today since that senseless murder of 4 Lakewood, WA police officers in a Forza Coffee Shop~just a few miles from my home. Yesterday that Forza re-opened officially at 8:14am (the time of the shooting) and by days end 1,100 coffee orders had been taken and sold. People lined up starting at 7am to have the chance to show the owner and the employees that we must not let that evil act stop the business at this popular community meeting place. Among the customers were many, many fire and law enforcement personnel. A plaque featuring pictures of the 4 fallen officers hangs on the wall of this coffee shop....so that they will never be forgotten.

Ok....don't forget~let me know how tall you are. Thanks........

Nasty cold rain every day, sometimes all day. No susnshine except in the morning. It refuses to snow and warm things up. Very depressing.

6 feet, the last I looked.

OK Crazy Linda, this is the oddest question I have ever seen on a blog.
Haven't gotten measured for years but when I thought about it I had the idea I was as tall as DB and sure enough I am 6 feet also. Bill

I am 5'6". Interesting the coffee shop opened and how much coffee they sold today. It's a nice touch with the plaque.

I think Pres. Obama is around 6'1", and you can tell that he's not that much taller than Michelle!

I'm a whopping 5' tall. If I'm the shortest, do I get a prize?

Stay warm!

Like other blogging friends--I was 5'10 1/2" when I was first married-before kids. I know I am shorter now. My husband is now 6'3. One son is 6'7" and the other son is 6'4".
Do I get a prize for a tall family?
:)

I would have gone for coffee at that shop today for sure; you are right, Linda, we can't let evil and violence overtake us; glad they will honor the fallen in such a fitting way

I'm 5 feet 8 inches, Koda is 18 inches tall! I think he beats Beth for the shortest (so far)

I'm SOO glad that the coffee shop had such a great opening with such support from the community... when I go visit, you'll have to take me there. = )

I'm 5'2.5"... couldn't quite get to 5'3"... LOL!! But my son is 6'3" taller than his dad, who's 5'10" LOL!!

Glad to hear that the coffee shop is moving forward and that people are supporting it. I am a tall 5'2". I used to wish I was taller, but then my mom always told me the best things came in small packages. She is only 5 feet tall and my eldest daugther is 4'11". So we are all tiny!

So nice to see that the coffee shop has reopened and it has great support. The plaque is a very lovely thing. I hope to go back to Oregon sometime in the spring would love to meet up with you again and see the coffee shop also.
I am 4' 11", but shrinking due to the osteoporosis and fibromyalgia. This has always been a really intersting question for me. It comes up regularly in a chatroom I frequent. I guess because I am so short I like to see if there is anyone out there smaller than myself. Seeing as prizes might be given (lol) I think I am in the running for the shortest except for Corgi.

It was on the news here about the coffee shop opening. Good for them. Life goes on doesn't it. I think I will win the tall/short prize. I am 5 foot and nine inches...and Hubby is 5 foot and 2 inches. We have been together since we were 14 years old. I will have to dig out a wedding picture.,
