Happy New Year at Seattle’s Space Needle

I would never go to Seattle and get involved in the giant crowd of people who gather to watch the New Year’s Firework’s show from the Space Needle ~ but I love to watch it on TV each year.  The following pictures were taken off my television. I hope they give you hint of the wondrous display we see each year.

We had experienced rain most of the day but the rain stopped a few hours before the magic hour and the show proceeded without the dampening effects of a downpour. Happy New Year to all of you! Until next time, Linda

Happy New Year!!
I had to step away from the couch as I was falling asleep watching TV, lol... so I was playing a video game on the laptop and the next thing I knew the ball was dropping with Dick Clark.... then the neighborhood started shooting off illegal fireworks.... and then it was 1am and we were all finally going to bed... been awake since 7am but not up til 10am, brunch was made and cleaning of the kitchen done and laundry going... and so the new year begins... :)

Ah, I'd love to see something like that in person. We don't have anything but neighborhood kids shooting off fireworks for New Years; however, the Fourth of July is a big celebration.

Happy New Year!!

Those are great pictures. It's hard to believe they were from the TV. I watched the festivities in New York on mine. I like the comfort and warmth of sitting at home and enjoying the sights too.

Spectacular. I watched Times Square, That's thousands of people jumping up and down in the cold. But it's fun.

those pictures came out great Linda! must be very impressive to see it in person, but I agree with you, I wouldn't want to go; don't like to be in big crowds like that

enjoy the new year!

Love the pictures from Seattle's new year festivities Linda, but like you, I would rather be home watching it from the comfort of my chair, than squashed in the crowds and noise and cold!! I wish you a very Happy New Year in 2010!!
