Wednesday Morning

I was sad this morning to hear of the death of Bob Denver (aka Gilligan & Maynard G Krebs). In 1987 he appeared at a local dinner theater in "The Owl & The Pussycat."  After that he became a professional advisor for the theater, so those of us in the Puget Sound area have many fond memories of him.

The picture I'm posting today was from last fall.  My son, Jim was hiking at Mt Pilchuck, north of Seattle and had another hiker take the photo.  This year he hasn't hiked as much due to work demands.

I'm still horrified as I watch the news from the Gulf area.  Hopefully conditions will improve for these dear people in the next week or so. I understand about 60% of New Oreleans is still under water.   Approximately 2000 people will be brought to the Pacific Northwest in the next few days.   They will be housed in various locations.  Hospitals in the area are preparing for those in need of medical care.

Have a wonderful Wednesday....I must get ready for work. Or as Maynard G Krebs would say....  "WORK ?!?!?"

I remember Gilligan's Island, we had it over here.  Great pictures.  Yes, I do hope things improve swiftly now with the floods, at least they are able to pump water out but it is going to take a very long time to get rid of it all.

I had not heard that about Bob Denver.  I never missed a show of Gilligan's Island when I was young or the reruns.  He was my favorite character.

Thanks for visiting my journal and for the prayers for my friend's friend, Dana, that is missing.  Isn't it something how the Holy Spirit prompts us?

Blessings!

Beautiful view in the photo. I've never seen Gilligans Island, don't know if it was shown in UK. Jeannette.
