Monday Morning Question

In Honor of Krissy from Sometimes I Think who started this Monday Morning Question and whose birthday it is today, here's the Monday morning question from: http://journals.aol.com/lv2trnscrb/Ofmini-pawsandmenopause/entries/347

Question: What is your favorite kind of birthday cake? And on your birthday, is there just one candle representing all your years or one candle placed for each year?

You can answer in the comment section below or in your journal with a link to the entry in the comment section below.

Thanks for playing :)

When my mother was still alive she would always make my very favorite cake;  angel food with a chocolate fudge frosting.  Yum , yum !  After she passed away, my family discovered (and me too) Costco cakes.  So any cake from Costco is yummy.  However, the last four years there have been no birthday cakes, so I just buy one of those little boxed square cakes at the grocery store for $1.99 and call it good.  Sometimes it's carrot cake, sometimes white and sometimes devils food.  Cake is cake and I love it all.  As for the candles.....if all the needed candles were put on my birthday cake,  all smoke detectors within a mile radius of my house would go off.   One of those numbered candles would be nice or the one that's question mark would be perfect.

Hi Linda,  I have a special recipe from one of the celebrity chefs over here in England.  It`s called Guiness cake after the drink Guiness, which is a kind of dark beer.  I don`t know if you get it in the US.  It`s full of dark chocolate and double cream and is absolutely delicious.  But it`s so fattening that I only make it for specail occasions.  I only have the one candle because it would take far too long to blow them all out.  Besides I don`t want to set fire to the house with them all....lol! :o)
