There was a horrible shooting in Seattle early this morning. Six people were found dead in the house and one person transported to the hospital has now died, two others are in critical condition. Because of the on going investigation, the victim's names have not been released causing concern and worry for the families of the young people who may have been there at a party. So many loved ones and friends will be changed forever by this senseless act. Also, the shooter killed himself after the execution style killing of the others. Here's a link to the story from Seattle's KOMO TV ;
Also, I just heard that my long time favorite real country singing star, 76 year old Buck Owens has passed away at his California home. I actually saw him in person several times as a young country music fan, here in the area where I live. As far as I'm concerned he sang real old time country music. I also enjoyed him and Roy Clark on that old TV show "Hee Haw" for many years.
I've got most of my duties done today...I feel good about getting a lot accomplished. I still need to vacuum and look thru the accumulation of mail on my dining room table but that's about all that's left. I did get a call from my grade school & high school friend Judi today. She's a dental hygenist and has lived in the San Diego area for 40 years (although she says when she retire's in a couple years, she's coming home to the Pacific Northwest). Anyway, she's going on the Alaska Cruise in August and she said that she was thinking about it all week and just had to call me and see if I was excited as she is...we had a nice chat and I assured her that "yes I was excited" and every day I think to myself ...."is it August yet?" I hope everyone had a good Saturday, the weather was pleasant here today, not real warm but sunny. The weatherman tells that rain is on the way again...oh well..it's spring, right? Until next time, Linda
