Saturday Morning

I just wanted to take a few moments to wish everyone a good weekend.  I have so much to do today, so must get busy here soon.  I was also off yesterday and went grocery shopping, and then had a follow-up doctors appointment for the bursitis in my right hip.  The doctor gave me a cortisone shot 3 weeks ago (oh my gosh those things hurt!!!!) and even tho it's much better...it's still not 100%. So he decided today to give me another injection not only in the bursa but in the tendon around it. That injection was a snap compared to the one 3 weeks ago.... but by last night......oh ouch !!, the injection site is soooooo sore, it hurts even  to walk.  (And I've got all this stuff to do today )  He told me to ice it, which I've been doing but I think some Tylenol is in order today as well.  After the doctor I went to a movie at this  little community theater, "THE GRAND CINEMA."  Doesn't that sound, well....grand?  It's a little tiny theater tucked in between othe businesses in the center of town.  They rarely show all the big films that come out world wide. In fact the last movie I saw there was "March of the Penguins" before it got so big.  Anyway today, I saw "The World's Fastest Indian" starring Sir Anthony Hopkins.  It was about Burt Munro, a lovable character from a small New Zealand town, that has a zest for life and a love of his vintage motorcycle, a bright red 1920 Indian model.  It tells of his struggles to realize his life dream to take his beloved motorcycle to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, ti see if he could break a speed record.  It takes place in the 1960's and I'm sure I caught a glimpse of the 1954 Chevrolet I drove in the 60's. Anyway, it's a great film and if you happen to see that it has come to your town..I highly recommend it.

Well, dear friends..I must get busy here before the whole day slips away and I'm found.... still in my nightgown at dinner time.    Have a wonderful weekend......Linda

Sorry your hip's playing up. I've heard how painful those cortisone jabs are. Hope it gets better soon. The film sounds great, I'll look out for it. I have too much to do too, I've unpacked but not put it away, trying to get some ironing done right now!! Jeannette.

Hi Linda,  That jab sounds awful, I just hope it works well for you.  I hope that your hip will get better with the treatment you are having.  I`ve read about that film in the newspaper and it has good reports.  It sounds very interesting if a little different. :o)
