Mother Nature Fooled Me

When I went to bed last night is was 42 degrees.  I was hearing about snow, up to 7 or 8 inches way north of me but I just smiled and went to be confident it wouldn't come here with the temperature way above freezing.  Well, butter my buns and call me a biscuit (I learned that from Robin) there was snow on my lawn ( the one I've never been able to get cleaned up) this morning.  So now, I proceed to get ready for work with fear and trepidation, trying to figure out how I can get to work without going up several big hills. My usual "snow route" is no longer available as it's been demolished as part of the new Narrows Bridge project. So...I have about 45 minutes to come up with a different plan.

Have a good day folks, I'm off to face my snowy world.    Linda

I love snow...but I can't personally drive in it.   Scardy cat that I am.  I can operate large machinery, drive dump trucks, and do lots of other things but just don't hand me snow and ice to drive in.

Take care if it's slippery out there. Otherwise, enjoy!

I think only parts of Tacoma got snow!  Kim called from Toby Jones at the north end of Tacoma and said there wasn't even a dusting of snow on the grass!  We were white here but, now at 9:50 am it's pretty much gone.  I know at 6am hwy 16 was nice and clear as was I-5.  Hope you got to work safely.  At my current job we can call in and have time off if there is snow as they don't want us driving - especially those who are uncomfortable driving in snow.  I learned how to drive in Indiana and with snow.  However, it's been sooooo many years that I would've called out if I had the opportunity! Bad, huh?

I hope we get some snow this year.  I am tired of either ice or nothing around here.  If we could get one good snowfall (14 or so inches would be great), then I would be tickled pink.
