It's raining hard and very windy here again this morning. It was loud enough to wake me (and Miss Gabi) about 4am. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't so decided since it's back to work tomorrow, I'd just get up at my normal time (5am) when I'm working. That way I've got myself back on schedule.
Last night I finished the last book in a series by Liz Curtis Higgs. The stories took place in Scotland in the late 1700's thru the early 1800's. It was a wonderful series. If anyone is interested, the four books are; "Thorn In My Heart," "Fair is The Rose," "Whence Came A Prince" and finally "Grace In Thine Eyes." Now today I have the task of finding my next read among the many books I have here at home. I did get a book at Costco yesterday, that caught my eye. It's titled "A Train To Potevka." by Mike Ramsdell. I'll have to take some time and see if it will hold my interest. I always read while I'm eating lunch at work, so I hate it when I forget to bring my book or it's a new one and it doesn't seem to work for me.
I have to go to the local Post Office later and drop a package in the bin there. I love it that you can print out a mailing label with the postage on it (the postage is charged to your debit account) and then just drop it off and not have to stand in line. Of course that's just for packages within the U.S. I do a lot of eBay selling, so I have a postal scale and have been using this great feature for my eBay items for some time. The package I'm mailing today isn't eBay but you can still do this by going on the US Postal Service web site.
I'm going to make my usual big pot of soup this afternoon. I love to take it for my lunch, it's good, it's nutritious and it fills me up. Plus it's easy to make and re-heat at work.
Well, I'm going to get off here andget my day started. As I sit here, I can hear that rain out there....pounding on my house. I complain about it...but I feel so blessed to be in here, warm and dry and not out on the street somewhere trying to keep warm and dry. All of us in J-land are truly blessed. We may not have a lot of money in the bank but we have food, shelter and each other. Have a blessed Sunday.....Linda

Glad you survived the storm last night without any trees coming down on your house or ending up in Oz! Thos sound like great books. I love anything historical, and if there is a bit of romance involved so much the better!
