August Rush

It was a wonderful movie !!!  Very moving story, great cast, beautiful music. I highly recommend it and be sure and take some Kleenex.  I definitely want to get the soundtrack.

The story line is as follows;

 August Rush (Freddie Highmore), an orphan uses his remarkable musical talent to seek his parents, an Irish guitarist and a young cellist who had a chance encounter in New York, from whom he was separated at birth. Also staring, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Keri Russell ,Robin Williams & Terrence Howard.

Tonight Gabi and I lounged on the sofa and watched "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen.  Another tear jerker.  But I love that movie and never tire of watching it at this time of the year.

I've put the wrapping paper away for the time being and Sunday I'll bring out the card table and get started on Christmas cards.  Most of the gifts are wrapped, and I'll finish what's left in a couple weeks.

It's very cloudy and cold...feels like snow to me but the weather man says just rain for the next couple days.

The fires are still burning in California.   Hundreds have been evacuated from their homes.  The winds are still blowing.

It's been a long day, and it's time to go down the hall with my book and my kitty. Until next time...........Linda

The previews of the film look like it would be good - I'll watch that on PPV once it becomes available, I don't think Doug would enjoy it as much as I.   I watched Saturday Night Fever last night...LOL - I hadn't seen that movie since it came out when I was 14!!!  It was all the rage then and of course I loved John Travolta, didn't every girl at 14???  It was funny to watch now as an older person.
