Monday Morning Question

From Krissy at; http://journals.aol.com/fisherkristina/SometimesIThink/entries/2008/01/14/monday-morning-question/1500

Have you ever lost a family member in a store or public place?  Have you ever been lost yourself?

I don't ever remember being lost myself, except looking for a business or someone's home in an area I'm not familiar with.

But...about 32 years ago I had a very hyper-active son and lost him several times in department stores because he would get away from me and hide under the racks of dresses, coats or what ever.  I would be freaking out and when I finally cornered him, he'd be giggling because he thought he'd tricked me.  Well, that only happened a couple times (3 at the most) when I tricked him~ I began leaving him home with dad or a babysitter when I went shopping.  I decided if he couldn't behave like a little gentleman, he could stay home!

Note:  He's grown up to be a fine man~now 36 years old.  And if we go shopping together, he stays right with me.  LOL

You know the same thing used to happen to me as your son.  So much so that even now at 65 I still panic if I can't find my husband, scarred me for life I guess.  Sometimes I think maybe my mother was trying to lose me.  Yes we're home, we got the flu and didn't make it past Medford, it's a long story.  Joni

MY grandparents once left me standing on a sidewalk in a big town after shopping.  They had forgotten I was with them.  Thankfully they remembered before they had gone too far and came back to get me.  I was right there waiting for them!  (thank goodness!)

lol. My big sis (one who I have not mentioned yet) once left my wee treasure in the supermarket. She wheeled her trolley out the door and was heading towards the car to put it away when she was stopped briefly by her neighbour, who luckily asked her if she was on her own!!! The penny dropped and she went back in..looking! Ohhhh What a woman! lol Love Pam xx
