Sunday

This afternoon the sun came out and the temperature went up a little so I bundled up and went out and raked the front yard. There were so many, leaves and limbs and other debris from the cedar tree I nearly filled my yard waste bin. I was so glad to get that done. I still have one flower bed that needs some winter attention but other than that, I'm finally caught up outside. I checked all my pots and it seems the squirrels have dug up most of my daffodil bulbs. (The rotten little buggers.) The ones remaining as well as the tulips are poking their heads thru the dirt however. A sign of impending Spring for sure.

Monday will be a holiday for the U.S. ~ Martin Luther King Day. The banks, government offices, the post office, schools, etc will be closed but other than that most places will be open. It was never a paid holiday when I worked at the hospital. So they'll all be working.

I joined a few more groups on Facebook today. My gosh, there's a group for everything. It's really kind of fun, seeing what's available.

Well I hope everyone has had a great weekend. The week ahead of us will be a "history making" week for sure. It will be interesting to say the least......

glad you had a chance to go outside and get some fresh air!

we never got a day off either for MLK's birthday either so I'll be working tomorrow

only thing I'm looking forward to is Rick Warren's prayer; been praying he will pray God's heart for America

It will be a very interesting week indeed. My boss hates Obama, so she will be spinning. I don't think he can do much worse than the last administration and in face he's inheriting quite a mess isn't he!
