Friday Morning

Well, Friday the 13th has brought good news to many in Washington State.  Apparently, the military bases in our state had been passed over by the powers that be in the other Washington, as far as closures are concerned.  I feel bad for the bases chosen to be closed,  I have several friends who have been civilian employes on various military bases and the impact for civilians is rough...loosing your job, benefits, etc.

It's a lovely day so far (8:30am), sunny and about 54*. I do have to go to work...I'm working what we fondly refer to as the "stink" shift, 9:30am-6pm.  I like the 9:30am part, it's the 6pm I don't like.  I think a great shift would be 9:30am- 4pm with 8 hours pay of course. The one thing I like about going in a little later is being able to watch my favorite morning show, "Good Morning America."

Have a wonderful day and an even better weekend.  Why don't we all call someone this weekend...someone we haven't talked to in a long time.  Just to say hi and re-connect for a few minutes.  Take care..L
