Sad News

I heard from my friend Judy tonight that her dad passed away this afternoon.  He was little Peyton's great grandpa.   This family has gone thru so much since Peyton arrived on the scene October 28th, 2-1/2 months early.

I'm happy to report that Peyton is doing very well.  She's up to 6 pounds and is very healthy.

But please pray for Judy and her family.  It's been a rough few months for her especially.  And her elderly mom is now left alone and doesn't want to leave their large home.  Judy would like to get her moved closer to her home.  Right now her mom is 15 miles from her in each direction.   Thanking you all in advance for your good thoughts and prayers for this dear friend of mine and her family.         Linda

Oh that is too bad, it is good that the baby is doing well, maybe they can focus on that for a while.  I can see how it would be hard for the Mom to leave her home, give her some time.  Joni

Linda My heart goes out to you, your friend and her Mom. I pray they find peace with his passing in thier own time.

On another note, I am happy to see Peyton is doing so well. What a little fighter. I am sure she is helping to over shadow the grief her family must be feeling. Life goes on, As it should. I hope Judy finds comfort in Peyton's successful struggle for life.

God Bless,
Tia

Morning Linda,
Well actually it is just about noon and the J's are really taking this ability to sleep in to the max.
Sorry to hear about your friends' Dad.   I just lost my own father this past August and no matter how old the person is the impact on the life is a lot.
My Dad's wife does not want to leave her home at this time and I respect this wish so I got her to consent to a Medic Alert set up which means should she have any difficulty she hits the button on her necklace and immediate help is dispensed.  There are three people (2 who just live behind her) and myself that would be called plus there is a key lock (like the realtors have) on the door.
This has allowed her to stay put for the time being until she is able to make the decision to move closer to her daughter.
I totally understand the perspective of the older person wanting to stay in their own home but also the concern of a daughter for safety etc.
Maybe Judy can check into a program like this that might be available.
Well today we are heading over to Red Deer for a wine and cheese shindig put on by the company we recently bought our trailer from.
Also Chuckie has to pick up his new glasses and I have to decide whether to get new ones as my reading part is not sufficient anymore and now that we are trying to retire I want to read more.
Take care  and maybe someday I can join you for a great feed at Duke's Chowder House.
I always received compliments at the cafe about mine.
Blessings,

Lori

if you go to www.treasuresof.com and key in Alberta and then Bentley you will see the "Cross-Eyed Giraffe Cafe" where my hubby and I have spent almost all our waking hours the past 2.5 hours.   PTL it has finally sold.
